Harmonic Block Series Reactors

Harmonic Block Series Reactors

A series reactor in a APFC Panel is an inductor connected in series with a capacitor bank to filter out harmonics, limit inrush current, and prevent resonance. It is a key component of a detuned APFC Panel that protects the capacitors from high-frequency currents generated by non-linear loads, thereby increasing their lifespan and ensuring better power quality.

Series Reactor functions together with power capacitor to provide a Series resonance circuit that acts as a sink drawing damaging harmonics, preventing dangerous overloads of System components.

Remove harmonic amplification, Inrush current limits and increase the life of capacitors.
